Mandatory and Optional Items to Purchase
Band accessories, such as shoes and band polo shirts, are purchased in bulk by the Band Program and re-sold at cost to band members. This keeps the price as low as possible and ensures uniformity. Marching Band fees and purchases will be charged to student accounts after the final roster has been posted. Students who are not on the final roster will not be charged for these items. Items ordered will be distributed during Band Camp week. An announcement will be made during rehearsal regarding distribution of purchases. Please wait for the announcement.

MANDATORY ITEMS FOR ALL BAND MEMBERS
- All band members must have and wear Etymotic ear plugs during all rehearsals and performances. All new band members will receive one set courtesy of the Glenn Korff School of Music. Returning members may purchase new earplugs.
- All band members must have and carry an electronic security badge on a cell phone for access to WMB on game days.
- All band members must have and carry a rain poncho at all times when in uniform. This is a mandatory purchase for new personnel. Returners may purchase a poncho if needed.
- All band members must have a band polo shirt. Returning members need not purchase a new shirt if current shirt is in good condition.
MANDATORY ITEMS BASED ON SECTION
- All marching band members will be charged a $20.00 instrument/equipment rental fee.
- All percussion players will be charged a $20.00 stick fee.
- All brass and woodwind players must have white gloves. This is an annual mandatory purchase.
- All brass, woodwinds and battery percussion players must have and use a shako cover which is used to protect the hat when it is not worn in the stands. A hat bag will be provided and distributed at no charge during uniform check-out and is to be kept with the hat at all times.
- All brass, woodwinds and percussion must have white marching shoes. Returning members need not purchase new shoes if current shoes are in good condition.
- All brass, woodwind and percussion players must have a pair of specialty steel hangers for transporting the uniform. This is a mandatory purchase for new personnel. Returners may purchase individual hangers if needed.
- All saxophones must provide their own neck strap.
- All color guard members must provide and use two costume hangers.
- All color guard members must provide and use a pair of flesh colored fingerless color guard gloves.
- All color guard must have black Dinkles Spin color guard shoes. Returning members need not purchase new shoes if current shoes are in good condition.
- Cymbal players may purchase gloves on their own coordinated by their rank leader.

ITEM DESCRIPTIONS AND SIZES
Note that the cost of all items includes sales tax and shipping costs.
BAND POLO SHIRT
All new band members must purchase a polo shirt. Returning band members may use last year's polo shirt if it is in good condition.
Sizes are available in men's sizes XS - 6X, and women's sizes XS - 4X. Cost: size S to XL is $25.00; size 2X is $26.00; size 3X is $28.00; size 4X is $30.00; 5X (men's only) is $32.00; 6X (men's only) is $34.00. The shirts fit as a normal shirt size.
BRASS, WOODWIND, AND PERCUSSION SHOES
The MTX Marching Shoe in white. Cost $60.00.
Men's Sizes: 2 1/2 to 13 including half sizes
Men's Wide Sizes: 6 1/2 to 13 including half sizes, then 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.
Women's Sizes: 4 1/2 to 15 including half sizes.
Women's Wide Sizes: 8 1/2 to 15 including half sizes, then 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.
COLOR GUARD SHOES
The Dinkles Spin shoe in black. Cost $40.00.
Available in women's sizes 5 to 8 including half sizes, then 9, 10, 11, 12.
WHITE GLOVES
We use the DSI Hyperperformance glove. All brass and woodwind players must wear white gloves. The Band Office stocks this item throughout the marching band season. The cost is $15.00 per pair.
Available sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL.
BRASS, WOODWIND, AND PERCUSSION UNIFORM HANGERS
Every brass, woodwind, and percussion member must have and use two uniform hangers. One for the coat and one for the bibbers. Cost $1.00 for the coat hanger; $6.00 for the bibbers hanger.
RAIN PONCHO
All band members must carry a rain poncho at all times while in uniform. Cost $1.00.
