Founded in 1879, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln band program has grown from a single small ROTC band to encompass seven ensembles that perform for a combined audience of well over one million people annually.
The Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln enthusiastically invites all students, regardless of academic major, to participate in one or more of our bands. Friday Night Pep Band Performances
Members of the Cornhusker Marching Band will perform short sets at the following venues on the Friday nights before home football games.
- Misty's (6235 Havelock): sets at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
- Big Ten Sports Bar and Grill (130 North 10th Street): sets at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
- Barry's Bar and Grill (235 North 9th Street): sets at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Cornhusker Marching Band, Saturday, September 5
The Cornhusker Marching Band will warm-up in the green space on the east side of the new Westbrook Music Building at 10:00 AM. The warm-up is open to the public. Please do not walk through the band when it is set up and playing. The rehearsal in Memorial Stadium is not open to the public.
