Founded in 1879, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln band program has grown from a single small ROTC band to encompass seven ensembles that perform for a combined audience of well over one million people annually.
The Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln enthusiastically invites all students, regardless of academic major, to participate in one or more of our bands. Friday Night Pep Band Performances
Members of the Cornhusker Marching Band will perform short sets at the following venues on the Friday nights before home football games.
- Misty's (6235 Havelock): sets at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
- Big Ten Sports Bar and Grill (130 North 10th Street): sets at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
- Barry's Bar and Grill (235 North 9th Street): sets at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

6:30 PM Homecoming Parade begins
7:00 PM Homecoming Parade ends in front of the Coliseum

8:30 AM Band students arrive at Westbrook Music Building
9:00 AM Percussion rehearsal begins
9:30 AM Full band rehearsal begins in Memorial Stadium (closed to the public)
2:00 PM Full band warm-up concert on the east side of Westbrook Music Building (open to the public). Please do not walk through the band when they are set and playing.
2:15 PM Band departs Westbrook for the Stadium.
3:00 PM Kick-off of Nebraska vs. Maryland football game
